Delaware North relaunches West Virginia betting with IGT
New deal includes retail sportsbook at Arkansas venue Southland Casino Racing

Delaware North has relaunched mobile and retail betting in West Virginia via a multi-state deal with IGT.
In May, the firm’s mobile offering and retail operations at the Wheeling Island and Mardi Gras casinos faced a betting blackout following a dispute between technology supplier Miomni and third-party provider Entergaming Software Solutions.
Delaware North gaming division president Brian Hansberry said IGT was a serious betting technology provider with a proven commitment to customer service, excellent global reputation and a reliable, omni-channel sports betting solution.
“We believe the IGT PlaySports solution will help us establish Delaware North as a preferred sports betting provider in West Virginia and Arkansas while enabling us to further reward our Lucky North Club members,” Hansberry said.
The deal also includes retail betting at Delaware North’s Arkansas venue Southland Casino Racing, with data and some trading services to be provided by Betgenius.
IGT SVP Enrico Drago said: “Delaware North can count on IGT’s experienced team and trusted technology to help build a sports betting business that can scale for the opportunities of today and the future.”
Since betting at Delaware North went down last May, FanDuel, DraftKings and Roar Digital have launched mobile betting in the Mountain State.
Online gaming is expected to go live in June once the West Virginia Lottery files its emergency regulations.
