Delaware monthly sports betting revenue falls 47% YoY
Revenue from the state’s three licensed operators increases 15% month-on-month to $466,705 but falls sharply compared to June 2018
Delaware’s three licensed sportsbook operators recorded a combined total of $466,705 in revenue in June, a slight increase on the previous month but down 46.7% year-on-year.
The First State this week revealed monthly sports betting revenue had increased 14.9% month-on-month from the $406,293 reported in May, but was down significantly compared to June 2018 when legal sports betting first went live.
Delaware Park and Harrington were both up month-on-month recording revenues of $4m and $1m respectively, while Dover Downs was down on the previous month with revenue of $1.3m.
Total handle in June was $6.3m compared to $5.9m the previous month, while the total number of monthly wagers stood at 157,570.
Meanwhile, Nevada also announced its sports betting statistics for June this week, with the state recording revenue of $16.59m, down 17.9% YoY, while handle also increased 12.4% YoY to $322.08m.
Monthly sports betting hold for the month was 5.15% compared to 7.1% in June 2018.
