Churchill Downs launches BetAmerica sportsbook in Mississippi
SBTech-powered sportsbook goes live at Harlow’s and Riverwalk casinos

Churchill Downs has launched its BetAmerica sportsbook at two casino properties in Mississippi, the operator announced yesterday.
The SBTech-powered books are now accepting wagers in Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa in Greenville, and the Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg.
The BetAmerica Sportsbook areas in both casinos will feature all-new big screen displays, broadcasting more than 100 different HD channels.
Churchill Downs said the betting kiosks were “easy to use with superior technology that includes in-game betting and cash-out features”.
“The legalization of sports wagering in Mississippi is a great opportunity for Churchill Downs to deliver an innovative, state-of-the-art product that we believe will exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Bill Carstanjen, CEO of CDI.
“We are excited to get started and will take everything we learn from this experience to improve our offering in Mississippi and other markets over time.”
Churchill Downs confirmed it plans to utilize the BetAmerica brand in additional states where sports betting is legalized.
Under current regulations, Mississippi levies a 12% tax on casinos’ betting revenue, with 8% going to the state and 4% to local governments.
The state does allow for mobile betting, but customers must open the account and remain on-property to place wagers.
