Casino operator to launch retail sports betting at two AC properties this week

Caesars has announced plans to launch OpenBet-powered sportsbooks at three properties over the next month, including sites in New Jersey, the Gulf Coast and Tunica.
The sports betting offering will begin with facilities at Bally’s AC today, and Harrah’s AC on August 1.
The roll-out will initially be retail, with a mobile offering to follow when permitted by the DGE.
Caesars said it was also planning to launch betting at two Mississippi properties in mid-August ahead of the football season, with all technology provided by Scientific Games’ OpenBet platform.
It marks the first major deal secured by OpenBet since PASPA was repealed earlier this year
Caesars online gaming sites in New Jersey already run on a NYX platform, also owned by Scientific Games.
“Over the course of the next nine months, Caesars Entertainment will be building out the facilities to create the same world-class sports betting experiences currently available at its properties in Nevada,” the firm said in a statement.
Mark Frissora, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, added: “We recognize that our customers expect exciting new experiences, which is why we will continue to offer new products through our mobile and digital platforms and inside our properties.”
Scientific Games CEO Bary Cottle added: “We’re thrilled to partner with Caesars to help them bring best-in-class sports wagering experiences to their players.
“With OpenBet, our powerful and robust sportsbook platform, Caesars will have a truly open platform and end-to-end product suite that delivers the very best and flexible solutions and has proven success managing the largest share of the world’s online bets, more than 2 billion online bets annually.”
The sports betting offering will also be integrated with Caesars’ Total Rewards programme.
