Caesars announces Detroit Lions partnership
Nevada-based operator confirms deal that will allow Caesars to use Lions’ branding on online casino games, as well as boast its own logos across Ford Field during games

Caesars Entertainment has partnered with NFL franchise the Detroit Lions in a deal that will secure new relationships for both the operator’s online sportsbook and online casino platforms.
Caesars Sportsbook is now an official sports betting partner of the Lions, while Caesars Entertainment is the official igaming partner of the team.
Caesars will now able to use official Detroit Lions’ logos and marks in multiple online casino games that are coming soon to the group’s digital platforms.
The partnership’s first online casino game will be a live dealer blackjack game that features a custom-made Detroit Lions felt and is set to go live exclusively in Michigan before the opening game of the upcoming NFL season.
The NFL season starts tomorrow, September 5, with the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Kansas City Chiefs. The Lions’ first game will be at home to the LA Rams on Monday, September 9.
The custom title will be available via both Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino for those aged 21 and older within the state.
Caesars brands, including Caesars Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, Caesars Palace Online Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino, will all be seen regularly advertised at Ford Field during Lions games.
All of the aforementioned Caesars brands will also get coverage on the Detroit Lions Radio Network as well as the team’s digital and social media channels.
Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with the Detroit Lions to bring opportunities to their fans that cater to their interests and are unique to the royal experience only Caesars can deliver.”
“We’ve enjoyed a great relationship with sports fans in Michigan, and partnering with one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL will help us grow that connection as we continue to expand our offerings in the state with the launch of Horseshoe Online Casino later this year,” he added.
“As we embark on this season, we’re proud to enhance our fan experiences with Caesars Entertainment,” remarked Detroit Lions VP of corporate partnership, Mace Aluia.
“This partnership will unite Lions fans who are passionate about the team, offering them exclusive opportunities to engage with us both at gamedays at Ford Field and through Caesars’ digital platforms here in Michigan.”
Michigan residents have been able to participate in in-person sports wagering in the state via Caesars Sportsbook since 2020 as well as mobile sports wagering since 2021 via a partnership with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
In 2023, Caesars Palace Online Casino launched in the state while sister site Horseshoe Online Casino is due to go live this year after Caesars acquired WynnBET’s Michigan operations in June.
Running alongside its deal with the Lions, Caesars is also a sports betting partner of the entire NFL, alongside FanDuel and DraftKings.
