
Caesars' 2025 DEI targets on track to have 50% of leadership roles held by women
Nevada-based operator sees an increase in the number of people of color in senior roles as business reveals $2m in non-profit donations last year

Caesars Entertainment remains on track to have 50% of its leadership roles held by women by 2025 following the release of its 2023 corporate social responsibility report.
According to the report, 45% of mid-level leadership roles, which pertains to supervisors and managers, were occupied by women last year, the same rate as 2022.
However, in 2023, women in senior leadership roles, defined as directors, vice-presidents, SVPs, and C-suite, fell by one percentage point to 29%.
Caesars has made clear that by next year it hopes to see 50% of leadership roles held by women at both mid-level and senior position. Leadership roles include both mid-level and senior positions.
The report also noted that in 2022 43% of leadership roles were held by people of color.
That total increased one percentage point to 44% for 2023, but Caesars has confirmed a 50% target for leadership roles occupied by people of color as soon as 2025.
In terms of representation increase for people of color, 2023 showed a 116% increase against the group’s December 31, 2020 baseline.
Last year, Caesars promoted five women to SVP positions, including Karen Worman, who is now SVP and general manager of Caesars Atlantic City, as well as Amanda Hansen, SVP and general manager of Tropicana Greenville.
Caesars also hosted its first ever women’s senior leadership summit last year, orchestrated by SVPs from across the company, while a third annual DEI summit involved 70 business and non-profit leaders from outside of the sector.
In 2023, Caesars ensured that two of the key roles within its senior leadership team were held by people of color.
There were also 106 promotions for people of color to management and senior leadership roles, as well asexternal recruitment of almost 10,000 people of color.
Gene Lee is now Caesars’ chief data analytics officer, while Raj Anbalagan has taken on the role of chief information and product transformation officer.
Caesars also implemented a DEI dashboard tool that allows users to keep tabs on the status of diversity within the organization and how those aforementioned DEI goals are progressing.
Elsewhere, the group contributed almost $2m to various non-profits across the US in 2023, taking the total donations from the Caesars Foundation to more than $80m since 2002.
