Betting Hero lauds breaking 500,000 sign-ups threshold for operators
Following its launch in North Carolina earlier this month, the affiliate points to landmark moment as it plots further growth in the US

Betting Hero has surpassed the 500,000 delivered bettors threshold to its operator partners in a landmark moment for the affiliate.
The firm’s breach of the half-a-million mark comes after the brand went live in North Carolina following the launch of the online sports betting market in the Tar Heel State.
Betting Hero said a “concerted pre-registration effort” for North Carolina bettors, which opened on March 1, was a key driver for the business.
In 2023 alone, the affiliate drove more than 110,000 new bettors to its operator partners, with 25% more new customers being secured since 2023, too.
Betting Hero was established in 2018, two months after PASPA was repealed, and has since grown to a team of more than 30 full-time, remote employees.
The affiliate is live in more than 20 regulated sports betting states via its Betting Hero Live Activation arm, with additional business divisions in the shape of Betting Hero Research and Betting Hero Digital.
Jai Maw, Betting Hero co-founder and president, said: “Thanks to our high-touch, concierge approach to customer acquisition and retention in combination with our proprietary in-house testing and research efforts, we intrinsically understand the needs and wants of sports and icasino bettors nationwide.
“As such, we are proud to represent their voice throughout the industry and believe in the power of consumer-led innovation being the key to long-term success. Delivering our 500,000th customer following a successful launch in North Carolina is just icing on the cake as far as we’re concerned.
“The millions of customer interactions we have had over the years is what has allowed us to reach this milestone so quickly, and we’re excited to exceed that pace as we work towards delivering another 500,000 customers in the years to come,” he added.
Jeff Gajewski, Betting Hero COO, remarked: “Our betting heroes have been busy helping new customers across the state since the launch and are quickly adding to our 500,000 total.
“If the first week of legal sports betting is any indication of the potential here, the Tar Heel state is going to be one to watch.”
