Betr snaps up new head of marketing from FanDuel
Alex Kuwada joins the Joey Levy-led firm after six years with Flutter-owned US sports betting leader across a series of roles

Betr has secured former FanDuel head Alex Kuwada as the micro-betting operator’s new head of marketing.
Kuwada arrives at the Joey Levy and Jake Paul co-founded business after six years with FanDuel across a series of roles in New York.
Kuwada originally joined the Flutter-owned operator in July 2018 as a digital manager before being named head of media operations and an AdTech senior manager in January 2020.
Then, in August 2021, Kuwada was appointed growth director to oversee customer acquisition for FanDuel’s igaming operations.
He was eventually named senior director of acquisition and growth in August 2023, before leaving the operator in July of this year.
Taking to LinkedIn to announce Kuwada’s arrival, Betr CEO Joey Levy said: “[I’m] pumped to share that Alex Kuwada has joined Betr as our head of marketing.
“Alex joins us from FanDuel where he spent the past six years working up the ranks, most recently serving as senior director of acquisition and growth.
“Alex will lead all of our acquisition and retention efforts, working closely with me and the rest of the executive team.”
The appointment of Kuwada comes as Betr steps into a new era of operations following the sale of Simplebet to DraftKings.
Simplebet, which was also co-founded by Levy, was one of Betr’s main suppliers for its micro-betting product.
However, the operator has since launched its in-house PAM via its acquired Chameleon tech and has licensed Huddle’s product to assuage concerns following the sale of Simplebet.
Ahead of the new NFL season, the firm also revealed a new peer-to-peer pick’em game and V1 of its sportsbook.
