Betr adds core markets to micro-betting showpiece ahead of March Madness
New online operator to offer zero-vig moneylines, spreads, and totals for all NCAA tournament games

Betr is expanding its product suite in advance of March Madness and making a splash in the process, as the newest online operator in the US rolls out core markets with 0% commission for all NCAA tournament games.
Users in Ohio – where Betr staged its inaugural launch in January – will be able to place wagers on moneylines, spreads, and totals without any vig attached throughout the entirety of March Madness. The debut of core markets will complement Betr’s wide array of micro-betting markets, its product showpiece.
Simplebet, Betr’s technology partner, will power the initial set of core markets as part of its first foray outside of micro-betting markets.
“We deliberately launched with only micro-betting to launch as soon as possible, enabling us to learn from and iterate our product experience according to real user data and feedback, and to establish ourselves as the company, product, and brand synonymous not just with instant gratification betting, which we believe will be the future of this industry,” said Betr founder and CEO Joey Levy, “but to also be synonymous with doing things differently and being the first direct-to-consumer operator in the category to actually differentiate its product experience in an industry dominated by commoditized product experiences.”
All of Betr’s products aim to simplify the betting experience by presenting markets in easily digestible ways for users, with the goal of fostering deeper levels of engagement and stickiness.
To complement its real-money wagering products, Betr is also in the process of building out a media wing spearheaded by co-founder Jake Paul.
As part of its March Madness content offering, Betr will be deploying its creators – including Paul and its ‘Handshake Bets’ team – to chronicle the tournament from all angles.
Users in all states will also be able to participate in a free-to-play bracket challenge, with the winner receiving $1,000.
Following its Ohio launch, Betr is next gearing up to expand into Virginia and Massachusetts, the latter having just gone live with online betting on March 10.
