BetMGM to extend MLB partnership ahead of 2024 playoffs
MGM and Entain-backed operator’s branding to appear in the bullpen of every stadium across the division under new remit

BetMGM branding will be visible in every bullpen across all Major League Baseball (MLB) venues during the 2024 playoffs as part of its partnership with the league.
To commemorate the news, the operator will launch the $50,000 Bullpen Jackpot, where customers who place a qualifying wager on a player to hit a home run that day will win a share of $50,000 in bonus bets — if the home run ends up in the bullpen.
The contest is not available to BetMGM customers based in Nevada or Puerto Rico.
The brand’s latest home run-themed promotion follows hot on the heels of its Grand Slam Jackpot, which was active during the 2024 MLB regular season and saw BetMGM pay out $1.85m in bonus bets.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM chief revenue officer, said of the sponsorship deal: “Sponsoring the bullpen is an incredible opportunity for BetMGM to expand our brand by being front and center during key playoff action.
“We already established ourselves as the home of the regular season home run, and the BetMGM Bullpen Jackpot allows us to build upon that momentum by giving customers a stake in every swing throughout the postseason.”
Ahead of the 2024 playoffs, BetMGM — which has been the MLB’s official sports betting partner since 2018 — is expected to offer more betting markets than ever before, including player bets such as numbers of series home runs, series home run leader, and head-to-head matchups.
Last month, it penned a long-term deal with USA Today parent company Gannett to become the media outlet’s “preferred” online sportsbook and casino partner.
In turn, BetMGM will boast the title of ‘preferred online sportsbook and casino partner’ of Gannett’s USA Today Sports and USA Today Network brands.
BetMGM odds and betting information will be integrated into both networks’ respective programming, which spans 43 states and 200 local US markets.
At the time of writing, BetMGM is active in 29 markets across the US in both online and retail locations.
BetMGM is a joint venture backed by MGM Resorts and Entain, the latter of which acquired Angstrom Sports 12 months ago. The sports modeling and analytics firm allowed BetMGM to expand its home run market this season and duly prompted a 256% year-over-year increase in home run bets.
