BetMGM replaces FanDuel as new official odds provider for The Associated Press
All odds featured in the news organization's coverage will be provided by the New York-listed operator

BetMGM has penned a deal with The Associated Press (AP) that will see the operator become the news agency’s official sports odds provider across its global sports report.
As a result of the agreement, BetMGM odds will feature in AP’s daily odds fixtures, as well as game previews and any sports story where odds are mentioned.
The move sees BetMGM succeed competitors FanDuel as the AP’s official odds provider. The Flutter-owned operator signed an exclusive partnership deal with the news giant in 2021, which expired earlier this year.
BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost talked up how vital this agreement is for the group as it looks to expand its reach.
“It is a special opportunity for BetMGM to align with The Associated Press, a leading global news source that billions around the world rely on for the most up-to-date coverage,” he remarked.
“Being a trusted resource within that forum is an important connection to expand our reach, and we look forward to providing content that enhances the organization’s coverage.”
Barry Bedlan, director of global text and commercial products at AP, echoed a similar sentiment as he expressed his delight that the news group had penned the agreement with BetMGM.
He said: “People want trustworthy sports betting information, and we are pleased to work with BetMGM to provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences.”
As released by the AP, 2023 saw the organization bring in around 44.2 million monthly users. Meanwhile, this is not the first partnership BetMGM has landed in recent months, with the group named the exclusive live odds provider for X, formerly Twitter, back in February.
BetMGM now provide odds integrations in X that include links to send the user the operator’s app and website, with the deal the first-of-its-kind between a sportsbook and a social media platform.
One month later, the New Jersey-headquartered group sealed a partnership with Marriot Bonvoy, the Marriott hotel chain’s loyalty program, that enables players in licensed states to earn reward points when they wager that can then be redeemed for experiences, including free night stays at over 30 Marriot hotels.
