BetMGM issues sportsbook product update ahead of NFL season
Operator, jointly owned by Entain and MGM Resorts, has outlined a number of new features designed to improve its sports betting experience before the NFL campaign gets underway on September 5

BetMGM has unveiled a slew of new product updates set to bolster its sports betting offering ahead of the new NFL season’s start next week.
Of the new product offerings, the most notable comes in the form of a series of Angstrom Sports-powered markets for the first time.
Angstrom Sports was acquired by BetMGM parent Entain last year in a deal worth up to £203m ($268m). Since the deal was completed, the JV has continued to champion its initial success.
While this is the first time Angstrom’s markets will be integrated into BetMGM’s NFL offering, the current MLB season saw the operator benefit from Angstrom’s play-by-play simulation-based pricing models earlier this year.
Angstrom’s technology enabled BetMGM to boast the “most extensive home run markets”, according to the operator, with the JV expecting a similar level of granularity for its NFL offering.
BetMGM, courtesy of Angstrom, will offer players the chance to create easy-to-build same game parlays from anywhere within the app as well as an increase in pre-packaged parlays.
Users will soon have live bet tracking, while a redesigned betslip will display all betting options in one view. Customers will soon be able to place various types of bets in one place at the same time.
Over the course of the upcoming NFL season, BetMGM will offer nearly 1,000 futures markets including awards, player, and team props.
For each game, the operator will offer more than 450 ways to wager, thanks in large part to Angstrom, while players can benefit from Smart Stats’ insights, data, and statistics, which will be visible alongside betting markets.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said: “BetMGM puts customers first, responding to players’ feedback, and investing in user experiences to exceed expectations.
“Leveraging our powerful in-house technology, we developed a more seamless, intuitive, and integrated product. The BetMGM sports betting app is the perfect companion for the upcoming football season whether fans are enjoying the action in Vegas or at home.”
Customers based in Nevada have been handed an extra boost, with BetMGM rolling out its ‘single account, single wallet’ ecosystem.
The tool allows both state residents and visitors to place wagers in the Silver State and carry their funds to BetMGM mobile markets across the US.
The operator, which is currently live in 29 states across the country, has also added new rewards so players can now earn both BetMGM reward points and tier credits, alongside offers at MGM Resorts destinations within the US.
Each wager will see customers earn reward points through the company’s exclusive partnership with Marriott Bonvoy, which can be redeemed for free night stays and other benefits within the hotel chain.
By linking BetMGM and Marriott Bonvoy accounts, users will receive 3,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after placing their first bet this season.
The update comes soon after MGM bosses revealed it is to establish a JV with Brazilian media titan Grupo Global ahead of BetMGM’s launch in Brazil, which is hoped to take place “in early 2025” according to company bosses.
BetMGM Brazil would be powered by LeoVegas Group technology, an MGM Resorts subsidiary.
