BetMGM doubles down on live casino with Michigan studio launch
US igaming market leader looks to cement Wolverine State gains with improved offering in partnership with Evolution

BetMGM has opened a private live dealer studio in Michigan as the US igaming market leader looks to increase its market share in the Wolverine State.
The new studio, jointly developed by global live casino heavyweight Evolution, will feature blackjack, roulette, and baccarat tables with various pricing points.
BetMGM launched in Michigan in January 2021 and currently enjoys an igaming market leadership position in the state with a 39% market share. The firm added a live dealer offering to its igaming arsenal in July 2021.
BetMGM director of gaming Oliver Bartlett waxed lyrical about the new studio and the firm’s relationship with its live casino partner Evolution.
“This beautiful, new studio enhances BetMGM’s live casino experience in Michigan and deepens our partnership with Evolution,” Bartlett said.
“Inspired by the MGM Resorts brand, the studio is adorned with the iconic golden lion and the familiar black and gold BetMGM color scheme. We’re confident that it will amplify our market-leading casino offering in Michigan,” he added.
These sentiments were echoed by Evolution’s commercial director for North America Jeff Millar.
“We’re thrilled that BetMGM has again entrusted Evolution with providing a full, dedicated studio solution, powered by our technology,” Millar said.
“As we set out to create a unique feel that players would love, the BetMGM studio in Michigan is one of the grandest we’ve built. We’re excited to continue our work within the state of Michigan, while strengthening our ongoing partnership with BetMGM,” he added.
Earlier this week, Evolution further added to its igaming and live casino supplier empire with the €340m ($357.9m) acquisition of Malta-based slots developer Nolimit City.
