BetMGM debuts ramped-up sports betting app
Operator times upgraded app drop to coincide with new NFL season, launching new offers, promotions, and contests

BetMGM has unveiled a slew of new upgrades to its existing sports betting app in time for the start of the new NFL season.
New features introduced with the 2023-24 season include a unified login across a significant number of BetMGM sportsbook markets, except for Nevada, Canada, Puerto Rico, and property-restricted apps through regional partners.
The operator has also launched exclusive team partner hometown odds boosts, under which bettors in several markets where BetMGM has partnered with an NFL team will receive a 50% live odds boost token.
These in-game wagers must be placed within the respective states of the following teams: Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans.
In addition, BetMGM has debuted so-called ‘elevated’ first bet offers, which allow first-time players to pick between two offers: place up to $1,500 on their first bet and have it paid back in bonus bets if it loses or wager $10 on any football game and instantly receive $200 in bonus bets.
BetMGM has also debuted a new Same-Game Parlay+ offering, which allows players to combine two different same-game parlays into a single bet for exponentially increased odds.
The upgraded BetMGM app will feature a free-to-play Survivor Pool, in which players can compete to win a grand prize of $100,000. The game, available to all BetMGM users, requires players to select a team to win each week, with the last person/s standing taking home the jackpot.
Lastly, BetMGM has confirmed the return of the 8-Bit Barry free-to-play game, featuring BetMGM celebrity ambassador Barry Sanders.
Every week, a player selects an option for Sanders to spin, juke, or stiff-arm their way to prizes. If the bettor chooses correctly, they will receive either a parlay boost token, odds boost token, same-game parlay insurance token, or bonus bets.
“We developed our state-of-the-art sports betting platform to feature a variety of ways sports fans can engage,” BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said.
“The next generation of the BetMGM app is a giant step forward in the sports betting experience, increasing the level of entertainment before, during, and after games,” he added.
The revamped sportsbook app is the second major promotional lean-in by BetMGM in the space of a week, with the operator debuting a new NFL-geared advertising campaign featuring brand ambassador and award-winning actor Jamie Foxx.
