Betfred signs Pennsylvania sportsbook deal with Scientific Games
OpenSports platform deal includes betting kiosk technology at the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem

Betfred has agreed a deal with Scientific Games to provide retail and online sports betting tech in the Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The deal will see the firm open a retail sportsbook during H1 2020, together with the launch of a mobile sportsbook ahead of the 2020-21 NFL season.
Through its existing partnership with Wind Creek Casino, Betfred will provide Scientific Games’ over-the-counter betting solutions and retail betting kiosks.

In addition, as part of the deal, Don Best Sports data feeds, which form part of the OpenTrade branch of the OpenSports product suite, will also be provided.
Betfred Group COO Mark Stebbings said Scientific Games was the clear choice to provide its sports-betting platform in the Pennsylvanian market.
“OpenSport provides best-in-class, reliable technology and services that will help us reach more players and grow our sportsbook presence at speed,” Stebbings added.
Betfred US was granted a conditional sports wagering operating license in January, partnering with tribal casino group Wind Creek Hospitality (WCH).
Keith O’Loughlin, SVP sportsbook, digital for Scientific Games, said the deal would allow both businesses to make a massive impact in the Pennsylvania sports-betting market.
“Betfred is synonymous with giving UK customers a great value proposition, and we are confident that they will get great traction in the US with this customer-oriented approach,” O’Loughlin added.
Betfred is using Sportradar’s OptimaMGS platform in Iowa’s Grand Falls casino, which does not offer betting kiosks.
As part of an increased focus on the US, the UK-based operator has relocated head of in-play and sports product development Andrew McLauchlan to Las Vegas in order to facilitate the firm’s development of the American market.
The operator most recently partnered with Colorado-based Saratoga Casino Black Hawk to provide retail and mobile betting in the state.
