Betfred expands into Arizona with sports betting app launch
US division makes debut in Grand Canyon State following January soft-launch period

Betfred USA has launched its mobile sports betting app in Arizona in partnership with the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and its tribal gaming operator the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.
The Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation were among 10 tribal operators to receive interactive wagering licenses from the Arizona Department of Gaming when the Grand Canyon State commenced licensing in August 2021.
The Betfred Sports-branded iOS and Android app includes straight bets, in-play betting, parlays, and teasers. As part of the launch, all new customers will receive a $3,000 bonus.
The full launch follows the completion of a soft-launch period for the app in January.
The partnership has seen the creation of a temporary betting station at the WKP Sports & Entertainment sports bar, with the pair partnering on a new purpose-built retail sportsbook property scheduled to open later this year.
“I could not be more excited to expand our Betfred Sports betting apps into the Arizona market,” Betfred Sports chief operating officer Bryan Bennett said.
“We look forward to offering customers in the entire state unique experiences that they can’t access on any other platform. Our team has worked diligently to bring this to fruition,” he added.
These sentiments were echoed by We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort general manager Mary Ketterling, who highlighted the benefits of cross-selling between retail and online.
“Three months ago, the We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort and Betfred Sports introduced sports betting kiosks at our beautiful desert gaming destination, and most recently opened a temporary full-service sportsbook,” she explained.
“Adding mobile apps is one more way we can offer Arizonans an easy, user-friendly, and unparalleled sports betting experience,” Ketterling added.
