Bede enters North America with Ontario Lottery platform deal
Supplier to provide its tech platform to Canadian monopoly as of 2020

Platform supplier Bede Gaming has made its entry into the North American market via a new deal with the Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corporation (OLG).
OLG is the monopoly supplier for the province of Ontario and is one of the largest lotteries in the world.
The partnership will see Bede provide the monopoly operator with its digital platform across both its lottery and gaming products, including the supplier’s responsible gambling technology.
The updated playolg.ca site will provide an improved mobile channel and a number of significant new product verticals not currently available in the province, including sportsbook.
The platform migration will occur in 2020 once OLG’s deal with IGT expires.
As part of the deal, Bede has established a small base in Ontario and is in the process of hiring a few members of staff locally.
Bede MD Alex Butcher told EGR the supplier was looking to strike up additional partners in North America.
Michael Brady, co-founder, Bede Gaming, said, “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome OLG to Bede and am extremely proud of the team effort involved in bringing this agreement to fruition.
“It is a huge recognition of the strength of our offering and firm proof of our status as a leading gaming platform in the industry,” Brady continued
“This is a landmark contract win for Bede and I am sure will be the start of a long and successful relationship with one of the most respected names in the worldwide lottery sector.”
