
Arizona operators report $898m in handle for November 2024
Licensed firms in the Grand Canyon State post a strong month, as DraftKings leads handle market share battle and FanDuel comes out on top in gross revenue


Licensed sports betting operators in Arizona reported total handle of $897.6m in November 2024, according to the latest figures from the state regulator.
The Arizona Department of Gaming’s report showed handle had spiked 13.4% against October’s handle of $791.2m.
The regulator noted the handle in November was around 26% higher compared to November 2023.
The vast majority of the handle came from mobile and online operations ($890m), with the remainder being sourced from retail.
Gross revenue prior to promotional deduction came to $84.1m against October’s return of $53.8m, as the NFL season got well underway.
Adjusted gross revenue for November, following the deduction of promotional credits, amounted to $57.5m.
The figure represents a huge gain on licensed sports betting firms’ October performance, when adjusted gross revenue came in at $23.6m.
In turn, the state secured $5.7m in privilege fees for the month.
In terms of operators, DraftKings led the way in the mobile handle market share battle, with the Boston-based firm garnering $289.2m in wagers.
FanDuel was close behind in the handle race on $286.5m and BetMGM a distant third place with $111.1m.
Caesars Entertainment ($51.7m), Fanatics ($42.2m), bet365 ($39.2m), and PENN Entertainment ($28.4m) made up the chasing pack.
Although DraftKings led on the handle battle, FanDuel came out on top in terms of mobile adjusted gross revenue, recording $22.3m versus DraftKings’ $18m.
UK-headquartered bet365 emerged in third with $8.2m, followed by Caesars ($3.2m), Fanatics ($1.9m), and PENN ($1.6m).
In the 11 months of 2024 that the Arizona Department of Gaming has reported on, total handle for the state is currently at $7.1bn and total taxes collected at $40.1m. December’s figures are yet to be posted.
