White Hat Gaming’s Almighty Buffalo Megaways unseats IGT in the US as Pragmatic Play nets a gold and silver in Canada

White Hat Gaming’s Almighty Buffalo Megaways and Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza have returned to the top of the US and Canada July slot rankings, respectively, after both being second-placed in June.
In the US, Almighty Buffalo Megaways once again leads the way after losing its leadership spot in May, with IGT’s Cash Eruption dropping to second.
IGT saw two of its titles in Fortune Coin and Cleopatra swap positions, with the latter dropping to fourth, while ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways rounding out the top five.
Only one game jumped into the top 10 from June to July in the shape of Shuffle Master’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure which moved from 15th to 10th to replace IGT’s Cash Machine which is now ranked 19th after being eighth in June.
The biggest mover was BetMGM’s 3x Ultra Diamond, having leapt 574 places into 14th.
One spot below was this month’s only new entry in the US rankings, White Hat Gaming’s Big Bill Frenzy, while SG Digital’s Ultimate Fire Link China Street moved into the top 20, in 20th place, having been 24th last month.
Three titles dropped out of the top 20, ReelPlay’s 10,000 Wonders 10k Ways (16th) and Lightning Box duo Lightning Eclipse (18th) and Thundering Shenlong (19th).
EGR North America’s data partner, eGaming Monitor (EGM), examined slots across seven states, up from six last month – New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Delaware, West Virginia, Connecticut, and new entry Rhode Island.
A total of 2,821 games were scrutinized across 158 studios and 52 sites.
Meanwhile, in Canada, Pragmatic Play held on to the top two spots as two of its games swapped places at the top of the rankings.
Sweet Bonanza reclaimed first place for the first time since April’s rankings, with Gates of Olympus dropping to second.
Stormcraft Studios’ Immortal Romance 2 and Gameburger Studios’ 9 Masks of Fire kept hold of third and fourth, respectively, with Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza jumping one spot to fifth.
Five titles cracked the top 20 in July including two new entries.
The highest-ranked new entrant was Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza 1,000, which moved 17 places from 23rd to sixth.
Gambit’s Stellar Rewards 7s moved 13 spots from 22nd to ninth, while Pragmatic Play’s Buffalo King Untamed Megaways was the biggest mover in Canada leaping from 342nd to 19th.
The two new entries landed in 15th and 20th, with Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Mission Fishin’ and Oros Gaming’s Pegasus Cash Spree.
The biggest fall in the top 20 saw Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush drop from eighth to 18th.
Five titles lost their top 20 spot, IGT’s Cash Eruption (11th), Fortune Factory Studios’ Gold Blitz (16th ), PearFiction Studios’ Cerberus Gold (17th), Pragmatic Play’s Madame Destiny Megaways (18th), and PearFiction Studios’ 3 Lucky Hippos Lock and Win (20th).
EGM looked at performances across five Canadian provinces: Ontario, Western Canada, Quebec, New Brunswick, and British Columbia. A total of 3,149 titles were scrutinized across 190 studios and 65 sites.
