
Slots Tracker: Fortune Coin survives at summit as top-six positions shift in May
Gameburger Studios 9 Masks of Fire breaks into top three with long-time second place slot Cleopatra tumbling down rankings


IGT slot Fortune Coin made it two months at the top of the EGR US Slots Rankings in May, retaining its top spot as the month saw significant changes in the rest of the rankings makeup.
Breaking the seemingly unassailable hold of IGT was Digital Gaming Corporation’s (DGC) 9 Masks of Fire, building on its fourth position in April to leap two spots into second place in May.
Previous silver medal incumbent Cleopatra, also by IGT, fell out of the top three in May, ending the month in fifth place.
However, IGT managed to recoup some slip in the month, with its Cash Eruption slot rising three spots to land the bronze medal position.
Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza slot improved on its eighth position in April to clinch fourth spot in May, with DGC’s Gold Blitz, which fell three places, by Fortune Factory Studios rounding out the top six.
Shuffle Master’s 88 Fortunes, a former leader of the EGR US Slots Rankings, continued its slide down the table, falling four spots to ninth, just ahead of 10th place HyperNova Megaways by ReelPlay.
May marked the debut of seven slots in the top 20 rankings, with Everi’s Cash Machine the biggest jumper of the month, capping a 16-place rise to cement 12th position.
DGC’s Bison Moon and ReelPlay’s 10000 Wonders 10K Ways also saw their respective slots ranking positions change by double-digits during May.
Aurum Signature Studio’s Rewards City was the only slot in the second half of the table to see its position decline in May, falling four spots to 18th place.
EGaming Monitor (EGM) data reviewed 98 sites in May 2023, with 3,299 games scrutinized. A total of 98 webpages were examined across eight territories.
In the US, these included New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia, while in Canada, the list included including Ontario, British Columbia, and New Brunswick.
