Slots Tracker: All change at the top of US and Canadian slots rankings in October
IGT duo trade places in US as Gameburger Studios 9 Masks of Fire edges out Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza in Canadian top-20

IGT-developed slots continued to reign at the top of the US Slots rankings in October, but Cash Eruption swapped places with longtime leader Fortune Coin at the summit of the top 20 list.
The duo would not be separated in October, with White Hat Gaming’s Almighty Buffalo Megaways continuing its stay in the bronze medal position held over from the September rankings.
Storming into the top six during October were NetEnt’s Divine Fortune in fourth place, ReelPlay’s Hypernova Megaways in fifth, and Big Time Gaming’s Bonanza in sixth spot.
The trio’s ascent came at the expense of Shuffle Master’s 88 Fortunes, which dropped two places to seventh spot and Everi’s Cash Machine, a four-place faller to eighth position.
IGT’s Cleopatra slot arrested its September slots rankings decline going into October, returning to the top 10 in ninth position from a previous 12th spot.
NetEnt’s Mercy of the Gods and Everi’s BetRivers Wild were the only other slots games to maintain their positions between September and October, holding 10th and 11th, respectively.
AGS’s Capital Gains, Design Works Gaming’s Break the Bounty, Slingo Originals Slingo Deal or No Deal, and White Hat Gaming’s Big Money Frenzy all gatecrashed the slots rankings in October, having previously occupied spots just outside the top-20.
Design Works Gaming’s Break the Bounty took home the biggest climber title during the month, rising 15 places, while DGC’s Gold Blitz fell by the largest number of places from eighth to 15th position.
Unlike September, there were no new entrants in the top 20 US slots rankings in October.
US slots rankings positions are based on the performance of the slots across six US states: New Jersey, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Connecticut, and Delaware.
In respect of the US list, eGaming Monitor (EGM) data reviewed 54 sites in October 2023, with 2,555 games scrutinized. A total of 56 webpages were examined across six territories.
Games from a total of 149 studios were considered in the rankings in October.
Canada
As with the US Slots rankings, October’s Canadian slots rankings saw a trading of top two spots between two slots games, in this case Gameburger Studios 9 Masks of Fire, which leapfrogged Pragmatic Play’s Sweet Bonanza, the September Canadian rankings leader, into top spot.
October’s bronze medal slot in the Frozen North was Triple Edge Gaming’s Cash ‘N Riches Megaways, which advanced two places from its September position of fifth, while Pragmatic Play’s Wolf Gold maintained its fourth spot in the month.
In any normal rankings, the five-place jump of Hammertime Games’ Gem Fire Frenzy into fifth place would be a significant marker, but its October performance was overshadowed by the month’s sixth and seventh Canadian slots ranking participants.
Snowborn Games Egg’s Bonanza jumped 27 positions to chart in sixth place, while Nailed It Games’ Grim Reaper Supermatch rocketed 78 spots in the Canadian slots rankings to seventh position.
Pragmatic Play’s Big Bass Bonanza and Oros Gaming’s Joker Bonanza Cash Spree finished just ahead of October’s sole Canadian rankings debutant, Stellar 7s Just For The Win, which landed in 10th place.
The title of October’s biggest Canadian faller was taken by Neon Valley’s Asgardian Fire, which rounded out the month’s top 20 list in 20th position after dropping 11 spots.
Canadian slots performance is based on provincial performance in Ontario, Western Canada, Quebec, New Brunswick, and British Columbia.
EGM’s Canadian rankings reviewed 69 sites in October 2023, with 4,291 games scrutinized. A total of 81 webpages were examined across five provinces. Games from 209 studios were considered in the October rankings.
