BetChicago-owner to launch Amelco-powered mobile sportsbook in Indiana
Sports content company USA Sports Gaming LLC moves into betting as part of a deal with Spectacle Entertainment

Owner of betting content site BetChicago, USA Sports Gaming LLC is launching a mobile betting offering in partnership with Indianapolis-based Spectacle Entertainment.
Spectacle will open a branded BetIndiana sports lounge at its Majestic Star Casino Gary to accompany the app.
USA Sports Gaming founder Frank Ignatius said the partnership was a perfect fit for the firm as both companies are independent operators, born in the Midwest and connected to local markets.
“We see great synergy here and we’re confident we will provide bettors in Indiana with a book unlike any other in the state,” Ignatius said.
The BetIndiana front-end will be developed by Amelco with Sportradar supplying the back-end and data streams.
Ignatius is expecting the app to launch in mid-November, pending regulatory approval.
Ignatius told EGR the privately-owned firm was looking to expand into four additional states with other market-access deals already in discussion.
USA Sport Gaming previously launched a betting content site offering odds and scoreboards to games and covering regulatory movements in Illinois.
“It was the plan all along [to be a betting operator], we built BetChicago before PASPA was repealed with an eye to gather data and putting a customer list together,” Ignatuis said.
“We’re transitioning from just a media content company to a full sportsbook operation and we plan to add a few more employees in the next few months.”
A BetIndianaNews sister app will give users up-to-date sports news and odds relevant to the BetIndiana app, with the same branding to be used across the two apps.
“We want to make sure to have a firewall between the two in some way, it’s clear in the branding that the two sites are sisters so in a way we’re almost our own affiliate,” Ignatius said of the content site.
