
Delaware betting revenues slip 98% in February
Revenues down on 15% lower handle and 13% increased winnings compares to January’s figures


Delaware sports betting revenues in January fell 98% on the previous month to $22,152.
Total number of wagers for the month slipped 14.8% to 193,537 across the three venues where betting online is currently authorised.
According to Delaware Lottery’s February figures, the overall handle was down 29% to $8.4m and player winnings were up 13%.
Delaware Park was the busiest casino, with more than $5.3m in handle, ahead of Dover Downs with $1.7m and Harrington Raceway with $1.4m.
So far this year, more than $20.4m has been staked in the state, resulting in $1.4m in revenues.
Last month Delaware joined thirteen other states in supporting the New Hampshire Lottery Association’s legal challenge against the new Department of Justice interpretation of the Wire Act.
