
New Jersey sets new revenue record
Online revenues hit $22m with Golden Nugget surpassing the $7m barrier for the first time


New Jersey set a new online gaming revenue record in January, with $22m in revenues good for 18% year-on-year growth.
Golden Nugget and its licencees, Betfair and SugarHouse, also set a new record with revenues of $7.3m – the first time any operator has surpassed the $7m mark.
Indeed no other operator has yet surpassed the $5m revenue barrier, with Golden Nuggets previous best $6.25m last July
Online casino continued to carry online poker, with the vertical up 21% year-on-year to $20m, while poker fell 16% to $2m.
Behind Golden Nugget, which grew 50%, Borgata accounted for 19% of the market at $4.15m.
Its poker offering dipped 7%, although it was still the best performing poker network in the market.
Resorts took third spot in the market, growing 23% to $3.9m, although its PokerStars-drivcen poker offering was down 14% Yoy.
Caesars Interactive slipped back 17% to $3.4m in part thanks to a 30% decline in poker, while Tropicana climbed 6% to $3.3m.
