18. Lottoland (2017)
Welcome to the EGR Power 50 rankings of the online gambling industry’s most powerful operators

While Lottoland’s Australia-facing business has rarely found itself out of the press, the bigger story at the bet-on-lotteries company over the last 12 months has been one of impressive growth.
The firm only made its Power 50 debut last year, securing 28th place in the rankings, but it has certainly kicked on since then after passing the €300m revenue run rate milestone last year and signing up nearly six million players to-date.
The Gibraltar-based firm has witnessed strong growth in a number of territories, including the UK and Germany, and was named the 128th fastest growing company in Europe by the Financial Times’ FT1000 report.
Meanwhile, its aforementioned Australian division has also been a key part of its success – although the business maintains a degree of regulatory risk in light of threats by some politicians in the last few months to ban the lottery betting operator.
