Despite only making its debut in the Power 50 last year, Cherry has soared up the rankings once again, securing a position among egaming’s elite in the top 20.
The acquisition of ComeOn!, Cherry’s current biggest online business, is a major driving factor in its lofty position in the rankings, even though the operator recently admitted the integration had taken longer than expected.
The firm has since dipped its toes back in the acquisition pool and increased its stake in Germany-facing brand Almor, as well as purchasing a 25% stake of virtual sports supplier Highlight Games.
Upcoming regulation in Sweden should enable the firm to compete for an even bigger share of one of its core markets, while its long-awaited listing on Nasdaq Stockholm will provide bigger exposure to the Swedish and international capital markets.
