Promoted feature: Everything you need to know about NetEnt’s Fruit Shop™ Megaways™
Carl Ejlertsson, group games director at NetEnt, tells us all about the supplier’s upcoming launch, Fruit Shop™ Megaways™
Fruit Shop™ Megaways™ is NetEnt’s first big release of 2021 – and it promises to be a zesty zinger!
Fruit Shop™ Megaways™ is our first new game of 2021 and it’s going to be a big one. Launched all the way back in 2011, the original Fruit Shop™ is a NetEnt classic, performing consistently across all markets. It is loved for its colourful design, timeless fruity theme and easy gameplay.
Following a decade of sustained success, we’re thrilled to have been able to give it a fresh twist with the addition of the Big Time Gaming-licensed Megaways™ payout mechanic.
There’s a massive 117,649 potential ways to win
This super sequel takes the best bits of the original and squeezes out even more excitement with Megaways creating a massive 117,649 potential ways to win.
Fruit Shop is now our third game to feature Megaways , following its electrifying debut last year with Twin Spin™ Megaways™ and Divine Fortune™ Megaways™.
Those games established the formula of remixing a NetEnt super hit – and the results were resounding. Both titles proved popular with loyal fans of the first editions and also brought new audiences who have gone on to discover and enjoy more of NetEnt’s unrivalled back catalogue.
Twin Spin Megaways and Divine Fortune Megaways are set for launch in the US in the first quarter of 2021, allowing players in New Jersey and Pennsylvania to get their hands on the games soon.
What else should players look out for?
Fruit Shop Megaways is a six-reel Megaways video slot featuring wild substitutions and an in-game free spins, with an increasing multiplier. The free spins are activated frequently by a win on any of the fruit symbols.
The reviews for Fruit Shop Megaways have been positive
We’re delighted with how Fruit Shop Megaways has come together and there’s been a good response among the streamers and affiliates that have reviewed the game ahead of its launch. Now it’s time for the players to have their say and everyone here in the NetEnt game design studio is confident it will be well received by the market.
When does the game go live and where can players get it?
Fruit Shop Megaways goes live on Thursday 28 January in all our main markets, apart from the US, which will get the game later this year. Players in the states will get their first taste of NetEnt Megaways games with the release of Twin Spin Megaways in Pennsylvania and New Jersey next week (21 January).
Those in the UK and other regulated European markets will get the opportunity to play Fruit Shop Megaways early on Betsson Group’s brands, which have a week-early exclusive.
NetEnt has plenty more planned for 2021
Fruit Shop Megaways is our first major launch under Evolution and there are a huge number of exciting opportunities for NetEnt this year. Being part of the group, and as we continue working closely with Red Tiger, we will focus on what we do best – making great games that players around the world love. Look out for more Megaways releases, more blockbuster branded launches and more Red Tiger collaborations.
