Yolo Group restructures business and hires ex-GiG head to lead B2C arm
Crypto-first operator takes next steps in growth journey with internal reshuffle for B2C, B2B and investment divisions

Yolo Group has restructured its business into three divisions while naming ex-Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) head Matthew D’Emanuele as CEO of its B2C operation.
The Estonia-based firm will now be broken down into three segments: Yolo Entertainment, Yolo Platform and Yolo Investments.
Yolo Entertainment will comprise the group’s B2C operations, including Bitcasino, Sportsbet.io, Slots.io and various joint venture projects.
The division will be headed up by D’Emanuele who spent two years with GiG between 2017 and 2019 as group head of customer support and director of operations.
He joins Yolo Group from Eastrock Group where he has served as CEO since April 2019.
Yolo Platform will become home to the company’s B2B technology, including aggregator Hub88 and Bombay Live.
The operator confirmed Bombay Online managing director Jose Micallef will step up to become Yolo Platform CEO as part of the restructuring.
Yolo Investments will remain as the group’s venture capital arm. The VC boasts more than €500m in assets across gaming and fintech investments.
Finally, Joe McCallum will step up to take a seat on the Yolo Group advisory board.
The former William Hill head has been with the operator since 2017, initially joining as director of sportsbook before being named director of B2C gaming in December 2022.
Earlier this year, McCallum was named MD of Yolo Entertainment.
Maarja Pärt, Yolo Group CEO, said: “This restructure is a crucial step to ensure that our growth is managed consistently across the diverse range of brands, products and services we’ve built up over almost a decade.
“These structural changes signal a significant shift in the Yolo Group mindset, with all our business verticals becoming autonomous.
“With each functioning as a separate business and supporting our wider mission, we’ll be even better placed to keep our customers at the centre of the universe,” she added.
