
Yolo Group promotes from within for new director of people
Piret Ploom steps up from head of people and culture role to take on director-level position having joined the company in October 2020

Yolo Group has promoted Piret Ploom to become the crypto-first operator’s director of people and workplace.
Ploom will step up to the new role having served as head of people and culture since April 2021.
She originally joined the Sportsbet.io parent company in October 2020 as a people partner across the group’s tech, product, B2C and B2B arms.
In her new position, Ploom will continue to oversee the HR division as well as manage internal communications and branding.
The former Relax Gaming HR partner will continue to be based in the Estonian capital of Tallinn.
Speaking on her appointment, Ploom said: “I’m excited to continue my journey at Yolo Group as director of people and workplace.“I’ll continue leading our amazing people and workplace division, overseeing everything from people strategies to workplace experience, internal communications and branding across the Yolo Group.
“It’s a great opportunity to keep driving growth, building meaningful experiences and, of course, having plenty of fun along the way. Onwards and upwards,” she added.
Yolo Group has made a series of senior hires this year, including former Flutter International head Ashley-Christian Hardy joining as chief product officer in June.
Ex-Better Collective head Shane Anderson linked up with the business as director of organic, content and distribution in April, while former Coolbet exec Darja Roos was appointed as CFO in May.
