Yolo Group partners with Solaride to drive tech education
Tallinn-based operator links up with project to aid young people into sustainable energy projects

Yolo Group has partnered with Solaride to support young people into sustainable technology education and entrepreneurship.
The Bitcasino parent company has linked up with the Estonia-based project to encourage students to take up technology-affiliated subjects and promote clean energy projects.
As part of the partnership, Yolo Group will be afforded branding on the side of the Solaride SolarCar during the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia.
The 3,000km race between Darwin and Adelaide begins in October and will see top universities around the world compete against each other.
Solaride was established in 2020 by students from the University of Tartu with the initial aim of building the first solar-powered car in the Baltics.
Solaride aims to develop an interdisciplinary outlook by popularising technology education among young people.
The project now involves more than 300 high school and university students, mentors, trainers and partners.
Solaride also counts the Estonian government as a sponsor, as well as the Estonian University of Life Sciences and various tech firms.
Richard Barnwell, Yolo Group head of partnerships, said: “We’ve been massively impressed by everything the Solaride team has achieved over the past three years. As well as the SolarCar itself, their commitment to nurturing the next generation of environmentally conscious innovators is inspiring.
“They share our fun, fast and fair values, and we’ll be supporting them on the next step of this remarkable journey,” he added.
