Yolo Group CEO: Culture is key to success
Maarja Pärt reflects on two years leading crypto-first operator as she praises talent retention and acquisition

Yolo Group CEO Maarja Pärt has championed the operator’s values and culture as one of its key drivers of success after she passed the two-year anniversary of leading the firm.
Pärt has led the group since September 2020 after Yolo Group (then Coingaming) founder Tim Heath stepped up to focus on his venture capital fund, Yolo Investments.
Pärt previously served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the group before becoming one of the only female CEOs in the industry.
Speaking during an in-house Q&A session at Yolo Group, Pärt reflected on the success the group has seen since she took the reins and praised the culture that had been fostered at the Estonian-headquartered firm.
She said: “It is hard to ensure we keep our values and culture the same, especially after growing so rapidly.
“However, for me, it is the people that matter most – firstly, retaining our key talent, secondly, recruiting the best people who live and breathe the same Yolo values, and thirdly, we as a team need to ensure the continuous focus on the strengths and key selling points in all our products,” she added.
Touching on what makes a successful leader, Pärt added: “I think you can be a successful leader if you’re authentic and stay true to who you are. Furthermore, a good leader is someone who can spot potential and the value they can add to the business.”
