Yggdrasil CPO departs after less than 12 months
Mark McGinley says he is looking for opportunities that algin closer with his “core values” as he confirms exit on LinkedIn

Yggdrasil chief product officer Mark McGinley has departed the supplier less than 12 months after joining from FunFair Games.
The former Entain head moved to Yggdrasil in May 2023 as chief gaming officer before a restructure saw him shift to become chief product officer in November.
Taking to LinkedIn, McGinley confirmed that following “much reflection on career goals” he had elected to step down from his role.
The exec said he would now look to pursue new opportunities that “align more closely with my core values and professional aspirations”.
McGinley wrote: “I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside such talented individuals and cherish the memories we have created together. As I embark on new endeavours, I will carry with me the invaluable lessons and experiences gained.“I want to express my deepest gratitude for the support, camaraderie and friendship shown to me during my time at Yggdrasil. The experience has been filled with learning, growth and cherished memories.“I wish all at Yggdrasil and Master’s Programme Studios continued success in your future endeavours. Thank you for the memorable experiences. I hope our paths will cross again in the future,” he added.
In November, when McGinley shifted to his new role, Yggdrasil confirmed a “strategic restructuring” at the business which had led to a “necessary reduction of roles”.
In October, former OPAP head James Curwen was drafted in as CEO to replace Bjorn Krantz.
