Ygam CEO set to leave after three years
Jane Rigbye will step down from the charity’s top job in June, with COO Helen Martin filling in on an interim basis

Ygam CEO Jane Rigbye is set to step down from her role with the charity in June after three-and-a-half years at the helm.
Rigbye will transition to a position on Ygam’s board as a trustee, continuing her work with the organisation in a different capacity.
Ygam’s COO, Helen Martin, has been appointed as interim CEO while the board undergoes its search for a permanent successor.
Rigbye joined Ygam as CEO in January 2022 as a replacement for founder and former CEO Lee Willows, who left in October 2021.
During her tenure, Rigbye has spearheaded efforts to tackle gambling-related harm among children and young people.
This has led the charity to partnerships with companies and brands such as the Scouts, Mumsnet, Place2Be and The Children’s Society.
She joined from fellow gambling charity GambleAware, where she worked from January 2015 to January 2022.
At GambleAware, she was director of commissioning from January 2015 to November 2017, before serving as director of education between November 2017 to January 2021.
Her last role with GambleAware was as prevention director from February 2021 to January 2022.
Rigbye also spent time working for GamCare as head of youth services and policy development between January 2010 and January 2013.
Speaking about her departure, Rigbye said: “Leading Ygam has been an incredible honour. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved as a team, and I know the charity will continue to go from strength to strength.
“The work we do has never been more important, and I have been continually inspired by the passion and talent of the Ygam team.
“While I am stepping down as CEO, I remain fully committed to Ygam’s mission and look forward to continuing to support its vital work as a trustee.”
Ygam chair Mike Wojcik added: “On behalf of the board, I want to express my deepest gratitude to Jane for what she has achieved during her tenure.
“Jane has played a pivotal role in strengthening our engagement with government and key stakeholders, championing the vital role of the third sector during a period of significant reform.
“We wish her all the best in her next chapter and look forward to building on the strong foundation she has helped to create.
“We are confident our senior leadership team will continue driving our strategy forward and making a meaningful impact.”
