Xpoint strikes investment partnership with Courtside Ventures
Geolocation tech firm joins diverse portfolio of early-stage venture capital fund

Xpoint, a technology firm specializing in geolocation and compliance services for the US market and worldwide, has linked up with early-stage venture capital fund Courtside Ventures in an investment partnership.
Courtside Ventures, which focuses on sports, betting, collectibles, fitness, and gaming opportunities, will support Xpoint as it rolls out its online platform in early 2022.
Xpoint joins the likes of StockX, The Athletic and 100 Thieves as part of Courtside’s diverse and growing portfolio of over 70 companies.
“Courtside Ventures has an incredible portfolio of investments across a range of industry sectors which complement Xpoint’s core business goals and values, and I am proud to welcome Courtside into our team,” said Xpoint co-founder and CEO Marvin Sanderson.
“The Courtside team has a proven track record of identifying exciting new brands, challenging the norm from entertainment and media to technology and software. Their support will help us continue our accelerated growth and will play a major role in helping us achieve the strong targets we have set for 2022 and beyond,” Sanderson added.
Xpoint’s mission is to ensure operators are in compliance with the regulations of a given jurisdiction, furnishing its partners with advanced geolocation services, compliance technology, and fraud-detection tools.
It will use the funding from Courtside to further its growth as it looks to leverage the burgeoning US betting and igaming space.
“Xpoint is a very natural fit for Courtside,” said Courtside Ventures partner Deepen Parikh.
“They have a world-class team developing a solution for a rapidly-growing industry that is poised for massive innovation. We are excited to work closely with Marvin and the whole team to create a market-leading business.”
Xpoint already has partnerships with betting exchange startup Sporttrade and online casino operator PlayStar Gaming. The firm also has an investment partnership with early-stage venture firm Bettor Capital.
