Xpoint promotes from within for new CTO and hires ex-PointsBet VP
Chris Chapman steps up from vice-president of engineering to join the company's C-suite, as the experienced Rahul Agrawal arrives to fill the vacancy and spearhead engineering efforts

Xpoint has promoted Chris Chapman to chief technology officer (CTO) and added former PointsBet head Rahul Agrawal as vice-president of engineering as part of a talent push in its tech division.
The geolocation and compliance technology firm has bolstered its leadership team, with Xpoint noting the duo reflected the company’s “ongoing commitments to technological innovation and growth”.
Chapman has been at Xpoint since October last year, when he arrived as vice-president of engineering after spending one year as CTO of privacy software company Sourcepoint.
Chapman has also held senior leadership positions at both Integral Ad Science and Amino Payments, which he founded in 2017. The latter was acquired by Integral Ad Science in 2021.
In his latest post, he will be tasked with spearheading innovation and ensuring that Xpoint continues to challenge GeoComply as the top geolocation and compliance solutions service within the US igaming sector.
Meanwhile, Agrawal has arrived to fill the vacancy left by Chapman taking up a new role, with his most recent position being vice-president of technology for PointsBet’s US arm.
Working for the operator between February 2019 and March 2024, Agrawal enhanced both PointsBet’s sportsbook and casino platforms, as well as implementing six-month plans for team and product growth.
He left the business after its sale to Fanatics for $225m earlier this year.
Like Chapman, Agrawal also boasts experience at C-level, having served as CTO at FaceOff for just under a year from March 2018 until January 2019, where he led teams based in the US and India.
Agrawal’s duties at Xpoint will include guiding the engineering team with an emphasis on the continued development of geolocation technology.
Discussing the recent staff changes, Xpoint CEO Manu Gambhir explained: “We are excited to promote Chris to the role of chief technology officer and to welcome Rahul as our vice-president of engineering.
“Chris has been an integral part of Xpoint’s success, and his promotion to CTO is a natural progression as we continue to evolve.
“Rahul’s extensive experience in building and scaling technology platforms will complement Chris’s leadership, and together, their expertise will drive the next phase of innovation for Xpoint as we continue to lead the geolocation and compliance space in the igaming industry.”
Earlier on this summer, Xpoint announced another notable addition in the form of ex-PayPal director Ron Braunfeld as its new chief revenue officer (CRO).
As well as increasing revenue, other targets for Braunfeld as Xpoint’s CRO include enhancing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
