William Hill to merge Shoreditch and Tel Aviv offices in new London hub
Operator says its central London office will open later this year following decision to close down the firm’s operations in Israel

William Hill is to open a new central London hub later this year following a decision to close its Israeli office and merge functions with the company’s operations in Shoreditch.
The operator’s Tel Aviv-based office is to shut down following a recent review as part of Hills’ ongoing ‘Transformation Programme’, with plans to move all current functions to a new location over the coming months.
The office, located at the Azrieli Towers, opened in 2008 as part of the William Hill Online joint-venture with Playtech and currently employs 230 people focused primarily on digital marketing.
These functions will be moved to William Hill’s new office in London, as well as Leeds, Gibraltar and Krakow, while some of its Tel Aviv-based staff will also be offered relocation packages.
“Our colleagues in Tel Aviv have made an excellent contribution to the success of William Hill Online and we are grateful for their hard work over the years,” a William Hill spokesperson told EGR Intel.
“London, Leeds, Gibraltar and Krakow are already important hubs for William Hill and by locating more of our digital operations in Europe we will work smarter and more efficiently.
“Importantly it will mean we can further improve WilliamHill.com and be even more responsive to customers particularly in the core UK market.”
EGR Intel understands William Hill’s Wood Green office will be unaffected by the opening of the company’s new hub in central London.
In other William Hill news, the operator today announced a three-year deal with Arena Racing Company to sponsor the St Leger at Doncaster.
William Hill will sponsor the Group 1 St Leger Stakes, worth £700,000 this year, along with a feature race each day of the four-day festival which will be known as ‘The William Hill St Leger Festival’.
CEO Philip Bowcock said: “William Hill is one of the best known brands in betting – with a long history of horseracing sponsorship.
“We are delighted to sponsor the oldest classic and we will work closely with ARC to continue to build the profile and popularity of the William Hill St Leger Festival.”
