William Hill Online CIO Itay Fisher to depart
EGR Intel understands the former Gala Coral executive will leave the Gibraltar-based business later this summer

William Hill Online’s chief information officer (CIO), Itay Fisher, is to leave the Gibraltar-based firm this summer, EGR Intel can reveal.
Fisher, who joined William Hill last February, is set to vacate his role in the coming months, although EGR understands his departure is for personal reasons rather than a broader restructuring of Hills’ leadership team.
It is also believed William Hill is now hiring for Fisher’s direct replacement, as well as a product director to assume some of his current responsibilities.
During his time at the London-listed operator, the CIO led the management of the customer experience, restructured the technology teams and oversaw the recent closure of Hills’ Tel Aviv office.

Fisher has worked in the online gaming industry for approximately 10 years, including five years in various technology roles at Playtech and more than four years as product & technology director at Gala Coral.
William Hill was unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
However, in a recent interview with EGR, William Hill’s Online managing director, Crispin Nieboer, praised the achievements of Fisher during his tenure at the firm.
“He’s [Fisher] got some great insights and is doing a lot of work in pushing ahead on agility at scale because when we did it before, it didn’t quite work and we went back into a waterfall approach,” he said.
“While I’ve been MD I’ve been trying to emphasise this and Itay has done a great job of driving this forward because it’s all about improving productivity.”
