William Hill has ignited a search for a new head of engineering for its Grand Parade technology arm in Poland.
The operator is looking for an experienced technology leader with experience in software development and coding to lead the charge on building a “next generation sports betting platform”.
The new project will be based on several technologies, including Scala, Cassandra, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS, Postgres and JavaScript.
The new head of engineering will oversee the software engineering and development operations teams, leading a team of up to 50 people globally.
The successful candidate will also liaise with architectural and technology leads to implement holistic solutions across the board.
Hills is looking for a candidate with a wealth of technological engineering experience to fill the role.
Candidates must have experience in cloud technology, legacy platform management, web scaling for applications, CI/CD and managing stakeholder relationships.
The role will be based in the Polish city of Krakow where Hills’ Grand Parade team is based, although applicants can also apply if they are able to access Hills’ offices in Leeds, London or Gibraltar.
