William Hill director of media, sponsorships and UK creative departs after 15 years
Company veteran Liam McKee heads for the exit door after a lengthy career with the bookmaker across marketing and sponsorship divisions

William Hill director of media, sponsorships and UK creative Liam McKee has left the bookmaker after more than 15 years of service.
McKee originally joined the firm back in 2007 as a retail assistant before climbing the ranks in his decade-and-a-half with Hills across numerous departments and positions.
A 10-year stint in marketing across retail and sponsorship between September 2008 and October 2018 was followed by a promotion to head of media and sponsorship.
McKee was then named global head of media and sponsorship just 10 months later in July 2019.
In his penultimate role with the now 888-owned firm, McKee was appointed as global head of media, brand marketing strategy, sponsorship and consumer PR in January 2020.
Finally, he took on the mantel of director of media, sponsorships and UK creative in December 2021.
McKee reflected on his time with the firm and said: “After over 15 years, my time at William Hill has come to an end. It feels like only yesterday that I completed my cashier training course to begin my journey which would take me through the marketing function to director of marketing and shape the person I am today.
“It has been a joy and honour for me to lead the marketing teams and I’m extremely proud of what we achieved together ensuring the William Hill brand was celebrated, trusted and always front of mind with the customer.
“From AJ at Wembley, to MVG at the Palace, I’ve had a blast and I’m extremely excited to tackle the next opportunities and challenges that lay ahead,” he concluded.
