Weekend Review: Premier League records tumble as layers triumph on Eurovision weekend
Kindred hails its best Premier League season ever as Greece makes the layers sweat during Eurovision
The 2017-18 Premier League season concluded on Sunday as all 20 teams kicked off their final matches at 3pm.
Record-breaking champions Manchester City became the first ever Premier League team to reach 100 points, while relegation was confirmed for Swansea City, along with Stoke and West Brom.
Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah bagged his 32nd goal of the campaign against Brighton to become the league’s top goalscorer, as well as the first ever player to net 32 times in a 38-game season.

Kindred Group’s Ali Gill said: “Despite everyone playing, it was a relatively quiet week in terms of big results at Kindred in the Premier League with relatively little to play for.
“Newcastle’s last day 3-0 dismantling of Chelsea at St James’ Park put a significant spin on the weekend and was enough to leave us way ahead on the day.
“The Golden Boot went down to the final day, and although Salah looked to be in the driving seat for most of the season, he wasn’t in the frame before it started and that left us way ahead.
“It’s been a long hard season for all involved but ultimately it ended as our best one ever, so definitely a season for the layers when all is said and done.
“Our biggest game of the day was in La Liga as Barcelona’s unbeaten season came to an end, bringing music to the ears of our traders as we took a giant leap ahead of the punters on that one.”

William Hill’s Rupert Adams said the operator also enjoyed a good weekend thanks to European football results.
“Saturday was a decent day for us although turnover was down with all the Premier League matches taking place on Sunday.
“European results were excellent with Lyon, Inter Milan, PSG and Bayern all failing to win and we were also helped by Barcelona’s first league defeat of the season to Levante.”
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City hit 100 points thanks to a late Gabriel Jesus goal against Southampton to cost Sporting Index “a sizeable six-figure loss”.
One of the biggest betting events outside of sport also took place this weekend as Israeli singer Netta triumphed in the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday night with her song Toy.

Rank outsider Eleni from Cyprus shot into second place to ensure an uncomfortable night for BetVictor, while the UK’s SuRie finished third from bottom.
BetVictor’s Charlie McCann said: “There was a massive swing when Cyprus was named first in the public vote, handing the title to Israel.
“The winner was well backed but Cyprus had been supported from 100-1 to within a shade of odds on and it was a tremendous result on a very anxious and nervy night.”
