VBET to go live in Sweden after SGA greenlight
BetConstruct enters Nordic nation via its B2C arm after “long and arduous” journey

VBET is set to launch in Sweden after BetConstruct’s B2C arm Vivaro was granted an online gambling licence from the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA).
Vivaro has been awarded a licence through to 2 June 2023, with EGR Intel understanding the licence fee to be in the region of SEK700,000 (£60,000).
Under the terms of the licence, sports betting and online gaming are covered via Vivaro brands VBET and Ohmbet.
The award allows BetConstruct to “supply its licensed products and software to its partners looking for growth opportunities in the regulated Swedish market”, according to the firm.
BetConstruct CEO Vigen Badalyan noted that while the licence application has been a testing process, he is looking forward to expanding BetConstruct’s presence in the Nordics.
Badalyan said: “While this has been a long and arduous road, we are honoured and excited today to have the approval of the SGA.
“BetConstruct gets the green light to offer its robust and advanced solutions in the Swedish market, where operators will benefit from our software in a secure and reliable environment and as seamlessly as in other regulations,” he added.
BetConstruct entered Sweden via its B2C arm as B2B licences are not permitted to be awarded in accordance with the Swedish Gambling Act, although this could soon change as the SGA has proposed a B2B licensing system to the government.
BetConstruct already has licences from Malta, France, Italy, South Africa, Romania, Isle of Man and the UK.
Elsewhere, VBET is the official betting and gaming partner of Premier League outfit Arsenal, having signed a three-year deal in July 2019. The operator also boasts footballer Ray Parlour and jockey Brian Hughes as brand ambassadors.
