US operator-led responsible gaming coalition bolstered by new members
Fanatics Betting and Gaming, Hard Rock Digital, and PointsBet the latest to sign up to standards-focused group

Newly launched Fanatics Betting and Gaming, Hard Rock Digital, and PointsBet have agreed to join a coalition of some of the industry’s biggest operators in a responsible gaming-themed coalition.
The group, which initially launched in September 2022 with a 12-point plan to improve industry standards across the US, includes FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, Entain, MGM Resorts, and Bally’s among its membership.
Principles include taking active steps to prevent underage and excluded individuals from gambling, while providing customers with informed choices and access to responsible gambling tools and resources.
All members have agreed to conduct research on RG tools and their effectiveness to support the coalition, with the commitments reviewed externally by a panel of experts who will provide guidance on potential changes.
Each operator has produced reports on their activities to date that align with each of the 12 principles.
Initiatives undertaken include the rollout of RG led tools and sites, championing the adoption of a national RG helpline, as well as extensive partnerships with addiction specialists and the National Council on Problem Gambling, with funding provided for the latter.
Coalition members have appointed responsible gambling ambassadors, including FanDuel ambassadors Craig Carton, who is a TV and radio personality, and pro boxer Amanda Serrano, as well as ex-New York Giants wide receiver Amani Toomer and Charles Oakley, formerly of the New York Knicks.
Members have also received the ‘RGCheck’ accreditation from the Responsible Gambling Council, with several others undergoing the accreditation process.
Speaking about joining the coalition, PointsBet US SVP of legal and compliance Rachel Kasper expressed her pride at reinforcing the firm’s commitment to RG.
“Responsible gambling is a core priority for our business and requires meaningful collaboration with all stakeholders, inclusive of operators competing within the same markets, to promote this aspect of our industry and ensure safe practices are followed,” she said.
These sentiments were echoed by Hard Rock Digital SVP of operations Danny Crook who added: “Hard Rock Digital is pleased to have this opportunity to collaborate with our fellow operators to promote and maintain an industry-wide atmosphere of responsible gaming.
“We’re committed to serving our players with educational tools, resources, and support to ensure a safe and enjoyable online gaming experience,” he concluded.
