Unibet Group crowned Operator of the Year 2016

Unibet Group was crowned Operator of the Year at last night’s prestigious EGR Operator Awards, capping off a stellar evening which saw the firm collect an additional two headline prizes.

The Stockholm-listed operator fought off stiff competition to win the night’s coveted award, while it also took home the prizes for Marketing Campaign and Socially Responsible Operator.

The Oscars of the egaming sector was held at The Artillery Garden at The HAC in London and was hosted by award-winning stand-up comedian Jason Manford.

Other big winners on the night – attended by more than 600 industry professionals – included Sky Betting & Gaming which won Mobile Bingo Product, Mobile Sports Product and Mobile Operator.

The firm was also narrowly beaten in the Operator of the Year category after being awarded a Highly Commended by the awards’ judging panel.

Meanwhile, bet365 had another successful year in the sports betting categories, with the Stoke-based firm winning two awards for In-Play Sports Operator and Sports Betting Operator.

And PokerStars once again took home the Poker Operator of the Year gong, while Paddy Power Betfair was named Casino Operator of the Year and Mr Green Slots Operator of the Year.

In the affiliate categories, Oddschecker was crowned Affiliate of the Year, WhichBingo won Bingo Affiliate, RakeTech Casino Affiliate and At The Races was named Sports Affiliate of the Year.
