Ukrainian regulator outlines law for unlicensed operators
KRAIL to give three-day warnings to offshore firms to restrict access before taking further action

Ukraine’s gambling regulator (KRAIL) will now give unlicensed operators three working days to withdraw their services.
Failure to comply with the new policy will see KRAIL contact the hosting server via email to block access to offshore online gambling providers.
If no action is taken by the perpetrators after three working days, the regulator will then raise the issue with the law enforcement authorities.
The regulator also now has the authority to name the offending operator on its official website as a blacklisted entity.
Meanwhile, August 2021 marks one year since the Gambling Law entered into force in Ukraine and legalised land-based and online casinos, sports betting, online poker, tote betting and slot halls.
All of these verticals had previously been officially banned in the country for over a decade.
Ever since then, KRAIL has regulated the market with efforts such as the national self-exclusion system, where an individual can register themselves or a family member to prevent them from gambling harms.
