Twitch star claims sponsorship kickstarted his gambling addiction
DNP3 admits to using his backers’ money intended for Web3 projects to fund habitsta

A leading Twitch streamer has admitted to using investor money to fund his gambling addiction.
DNP3, who elects to protect his real identity, revealed he became addicted to gambling after streaming himself playing online casino games on the Amazon-owned platform last year.
After beginning a sponsorship deal with an operator, DNP3 said he found himself on a downward curve.
In a blogpost, the streamer confirmed he had used monies from investors for his various crypto projects, including NFTs, a metaverse platform and a cryptocurrency, to fund his habit.
He said: “There is no easy way to deliver this news, and this is by far one of the toughest messages I’ve ever had to deliver in my life.
“Over the last year I got incredibly addicted to gambling. Every dollar I could find I would put into Stake in hopes of winning big. Even when the big wins did happen it wasn’t enough.
“Eventually I lost everything. In addition to my own life savings, I also irresponsibly used investor funds to try and get my money back from the casino, which was wrong for so many reasons,” he added.
Started with a sponsored stream and unleashed an addiction I never knew I had.
