Trustly appoints former Paysafe exec as new CTO
Pay N Play payment solutions provider recruits Karim Ahmad to lead technology and product departments
Payment solutions provider Trustly has hired Karim Ahmad as its new chief technology and product officer.
Ahmad joins from the Paysafe Group, where he served as chief product and transformation officer since April 2018.
The former TSYS EVP will be responsible for Trustly’s technology and product portfolio as he taps into two decades of experience in the financial services industry.
Ahmad will be based in London and will report into Trustly CEO Oscar Berglund, while European CTO Per Lejontand and US CTO Ezio Fernandes will report into Ahmad as global CTO and CPO.
Berglund said Ahmad’s skillset would be “vital” for Trustly’s future global expansion roadmap.
Berglund said: “We are excited to welcome Karim to the Trustly team. He joins us with a wealth of industry expertise, payments technology and product understanding, alongside a proven senior leadership track record.
“All of this, coupled with extensive international experience and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, will be vital for Trustly to ensure we continue to delight our customers as we expand globally,” he added.
