Top trainer Olly Murphy teams up with Matchbook
Betting exchange to produce behind-the-scenes content over a season for racing fans

Horseracing trainer Olly Murphy has linked up with betting exchange Matchbook to become its brand ambassador.
The partnership will see the Stratford-upon-Avon-based trainer produce unique content for the Ireland-based betting exchange, including a behind-the-scenes series called The Other Side of the Fence.
Having worked under trainer Gordon Elliot, Murphy earned £1.1m in winnings during the most recent jumps season and achieved a strike rate of 17%.
Upon the new partnership, Murphy said: “A huge amount of work goes into getting a horse to the races, and the opportunity to fully showcase the goings on at Warren Chase Stables is one that I’ve been keen on for some time.
“Matchbook have always been exceptionally supportive of British horseracing and I’m proud to be associated with this up-and-coming brand.”

Matchbook CMO Eric Hegarty said: “We’ve begun working on a video series with Olly in the last few weeks. We aim to give racing punters an all-access view of what it takes to be a racing trainer encapsulating a season-long journey from Olly and his team’s perspective.
Murphy’s first Grade 1 winner came during the Covid-ravaged 2019/20 season as Itchy Feet won The Scilly Isles Novices’ Chase.
In June, Murphy bid £75,000 to ensure that the talented horse stayed at the Warren Chase Stables.
