TonyBet opens first Estonian betting shop
Sports betting operator is owned by Pokernews founder Tony Guoga.

Estonia-licensed egaming operator TonyBet has opened the first ever land-based betting shop in the EU member state.
The company, owned by Pokernews founder and poker player Tony Guoga since 2009, celebrated the launch with a tournament involving Guoga, Estonian basketball player Martin Müürsepp, and four poker players from the former Soviet country.
TonyBet recently entered into a deal with Unibet’s B2B arm Kambi Sports Solutions, which gives the operator access to Kambi’s Supertoto and Superscore pool betting products.
Estonia opened its online gambling market in 2010, issuing licences to operators including PokerStars, while a number of software providers, such as Playtech, have offices in the country.
However Bodog withdrew from Estonia – along with 19 other countries – last month, in order to “Concentrate on our strengths and where we can offer the best product.”
