Tombola managing director Leon Thomas exits
Mecca Interactive's former digital development director Murray Chisholm replaces Thomas as MD at the online bingo operator

Tombola’s managing director Leon Thomas has left the online bingo operator after three years in the role, eGaming Review can reveal.
Thomas held the role of managing director for more than three years after joining the firm from PartyGaming in April 2011 where he had worked as director of regulatory compliance from April 2006.
He is believed to be remaining in the online gambling industry and is moving to an as yet unnamed operator with his new role expected to be announced in the next few weeks.
Thomas will be replaced at Tombola by Mecca Interactive’s digital development director Murray Chisholm, who will be based out of the operator’s Gibraltar office.
Industry veteran Chisholm worked at the Rank Group bingo brand before joining from Gala Coral in November 2013.
During a five-year stint at Gala Coral, he held a number of senior roles including business development director for Gala Interactive and head of bingo, casino poker TV and gaming for the group’s remote division.
Chisholm also previously worked at poker operator Tribeca Tables, which was sold to software supplier Playtech for $140m in 2006.
He joins Tombola after it recently placed number 33 in this year’s eGaming Review Power 50 list and is widely regarded as the biggest bingo-only operator in Europe with market leading positions in the UK, Spain and Italy.
The operator is shortlisted in four categories at the upcoming eGR Operator Awards including bingo operator of the year and socially responsible operator of the year.
