Tipico scores three-year extension to Bundesliga sponsorship
Sports betting operator will continue as the official betting partner of German football’s top two divisions until 2029 via new deal with the Deutsche Fußball Liga

Tipico has extended its partnership with the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) through to the end of the 2028-29 season to remain at the forefront of German football.
The operator will continue in its capacity as the official partner for Germany’s top football league, the Bundesliga, and its second-tier competition, 2. Bundesliga.
The agreement was originally signed in 2018, meaning the partnership will run for at least 10 years.
As per the agreement, Tipico will continue to use the logos of both competitions and their respective championship trophies in its advertising.
The operator will also retain other advertising rights including access to the DFL’s media contacts and “exclusivity within the industry”.
Tipico branding will also be integrated into the Bundesliga’s digital platforms.
Kajetan Strini-Brown, director of sports brand at Tipico, said: “We’re incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga.
“German football is at the heart of what we do, and that passion has always been deeply embedded in our DNA as a company.
“This extension is a key part of our strategic partnerships, which also include the DFB-Pokal, another major German football brand.
“Sponsorship, and the visibility it brings, plays an important role in guiding customers to the legal market.”
Tobias Thöne, Bundesliga International’s director of commercial partnerships, added: “We’re thrilled to extend this long-standing collaboration built on mutual trust.
“Over the years, Tipico has proven itself as a highly professional and reliable partner with a deep passion for football.”
Back in January, Tipico appointed former Procter & Gamble chief Christian Wurzinger as the company’s new CFO.
The Malta-headquartered firm also completed the acquisition of Austria-facing sports betting brand Admiral from Novomatic in an undisclosed deal this year.
